Getting back my life

I have been on antidepressants a long long time. I guess the doctors thought with both of my parents being drunks I needed to be on them.  Well 2 months ago I quit taking them. I went to my new doctor and told him I wanted to get off of them. So he weaned me off. I feel great. My mind is clearer and my memory has come back and my arms jerking have gone away. I actually feel like doing things again.  It has been hard losing Rick though. All's I keep thinking is he was always depressed and hardly smiled. But I know he is now smiling and happy being with our Lord. I know this sounds weird but I envy him. I am ready to go home when it is my time!!!

This has been a very sad day for me. I lost my oldest brother Rick this morning. We didn't often get along but never the less I loved him very much. He is the one who brought God into my life and for that I will be forever grateful. We had a very dysfunctional family from growing up with alcoholic parents. He was the oldest of us four. When we were young we would spend hours just drinking coffee and talking. I love you Rick and will miss you always.
Here is one of the other dogs I take care of. Gunther was a rescue and is a pretty old man. He still loves to play. His favorite toy is a stuffed lizard that we call Lizzie...I just love him!!!

My Sweet Abbie Rose
