What a beautiful day

The day started out cold but really turned out to be really nice.My morning glories are still going strong.

My Beautiful Girl

Here's a pic of my sweet angel...

Back to making bears

Well here it is the middle of september all ready.Summer flew by this year at least for me it did.I've spent at least 2 months with a bad rotator cuff injury.I finally feel better so back to bears it is.I am doing an online show in november so I really have to get busy.If you click on the link above about the show you can read all about it. I have a bear almost done. She'll be ready by sunday.I have been wanting to try waxing a nose so I have tried it with this bear.I am pleased with the results. Here is a pic.She doesn't have her ears on yet.I haven't named her either.

Deer in the back yard

It is so hot here it is just unbearable!!! You have to stay inside in the air conditioning..I really don't like this hot weather..I'm more of a winter person..Yesterday some of the deer came into our back yard to eat the apples that fall off our trees. They are just so beautiful!!!

Baby Ducks

This year to our surprise a mother duck and her 9 babies are also in the neighborhood.Twice a day she brings them to the bird feeder. They are really getting big now.I just love watching them all walk in a perfect line behind her!!!

Our Ducks

I feed the birds everyday.I just love watching all of the different breeds and their beautiful colors. We have wild ducks that come and stay in the neighbor hood every year.I named the one pair Mama and Papa.It just amazes me that they come back year after year. They visit the bird feeder once or twice a day.
Well it's been a very busy but productive week so far.I'll have a bear done and up by sunday.I've been busy dyeing mohair. What fun that is!!!. We took Danny to the vet tuesday for her "senior" exam. She's 13 years old now. Dr.Messner just called with the good news..all is well!!! She said Dannelle is one tough old broad!!!

New Bear Cassie

Well I finally finished a bear.I am going to try really hard and get one done every 7 to 10 days.I have so many ideas in my head but sometimes that is as far as they get.I ordered some new mohair (like I really needed it)..But that always helps to get me motivated. It is a beautiful 1 1/2 inch Schulte mohair in a antique mango color..It just screamed fall to me..I love fall colors..Any hoo..here is a pic a Cassie..UPDATE Cassie was adopted and is now living in California!!!

Where does the time go??

Time just goes by so fast anymore. There are so many things that need done in the spring.I haven't even been able to make any new bears up until a week ago.I should have her all ready for pictures by this weekend. Danny went to the groomer and got all of her coat shaved off. What a difference it makes. She is like a puppy again with all of that undercoat off of her. Here is her before and after pics.

Dan on her porch

Danny had to be out on her porch in all of the snow.Just can't keep her out of it!!!

Lots and Lots of Snow

We got 16 inches of snow last night and this morning. We got some really beautiful pictures.

Back To Bears

Well the holidays have come and gone and it's feb already.I'm finally feeling like making bears again and here is Rebeca. She is made from Schulte mohair that I hand dyed a beautiful rusty brown. She stands 15 inches tall and is 5 way jointed with cotterpins and hardboard discs. She is wearing her handmade valentines dress but will also have another dress to put her in after valentines day of your color choice.Rebeca's adoption fee is $65.00
